BHS Continues to Advance Automation

BHS is always on the cutting edge of innovation. In 2006, BHS expanded their fabrication department to include a fourth CNC machining center and a versatile arc welding robot to further advance their manufacturing practices. With the recent additions, BHS has reduced material handling and set up times and provided an even higher degree of automation.
The Mazak model VTC-300 is capable of milling two different and distinct components simultaneously. The vertical machining center is more than twice the speed of the milling machines previously used by BHS and is built to handle large work pieces weighing up to 3,300lbs. Now with the enhanced milling capabilities, BHS boasts an even faster production and delivery time creating an increase in customer satisfaction and support.
The Almega model AX-V4L advances the overall welding quality at BHS. With its unique design and through-arm coaxial cable, the robot is capable of welding in confined spaces and in complicated fixtures. With these abilities, the robot continues to improve the structural durability and consistency of all BHS products, which customers know to expect.
